Ojectives of subject-
- To help students to know social problems and find solutions on them - To inspire students to participate in various social activities. - To create awareness among students regarding current social issues. - To develop a broad social outlook among the students and inculcate values necessary for social adjustment and to became ideal citizen

The study prepare an individual become useful member of, Society and Nations at large. It highlights various problems prevalent in society and measures to come out of it.

AFTER COMPLETING B.A. SOCIOLOGY STUDENTS HAVE JOB OPPORTUNITES IN the FOLLOWING FIELDS- - research institutes - The criminal justice system - Public health and welfare organizations - Private businesses - International agencies - Medical centers - Educational institutions - Advertising firms - Social research - Public relations worker - Administration - Community organizers - Public policy research and data analysis Center Sociology also provides great preparation for graduate degree programs in social work, education, public policy, religious ministry, mass communications, public health and international affairs.
