Introduction:-
“Education through self-help” is the motto of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. Founder of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Padmabhushan Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil has started free and residential education in which students were earning their expenses by working in the farm or elsewhere. This scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students who are needy, economically backward, intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education. Our college provides an opportunity to the needy students to work in the library of the college, Competitive Examination Guidance Centre, Swimming Tank, to supply Water for plants and as night watchmen in the college campus. This scheme is flexible to give work to those who demand it. The dignity of labor is a backbone of our philosophy and college runs ‘Earn and Learn scheme’ in two tier system: I) The student working in the campus.
II) The students working outside the campus.
The majority of the students in the college are either slum dwelling or coming from rural areas. Most of them are first generation of higher education beneficiaries. They are economically backward hence we have two types of Earn and Learn Programmes; namely Off-campus and On Campus. In Off Campus Programme we contact hotels, hospitals and industries and request them to provide part time jobs for the needy students. This made the college popular for the aspirants of livelihood or money to support to their education.

Objectives of Earn and Learn Scheme:-
1} The upliftment of the students from the masses is the main objective of the Sanstha.
2} To develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian society.
3} To inculcates in the student the idea that no work is big or small and develops a work culture with right aptitude.
4} To provide the financial assistance for the students coming from the rural areas, which are economically backward, intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education, needy and financially hard pressed.
Rules and Regulations of Earn and Learn Scheme:-

1) First-Come-First-Serve
2) Nature of Work- i) Office work with daily attendance
ii) Technical work with daily attendance
iii) Field work with daily attendance
3) Wages- As per decision taken by the concerned committee time to time.
4) Irregular and Failed students may be punished as a cancellation of his admission from this scheme
