Introduction :

History of the Department :-

Department of Mathematics established in June 1992. Initially the department was run on non-grant basis. The department gets 100% grantable status since academic year 2009-10. The department was run at B.Sc.II level. In year 2014-15 the Mathematics subject is taught at B.Sc.III level. Department is having well equipped computer laboratory. The ICT facility like LCD projector and internet is available to the students.Department is having a library with 194 books containing text books and reference books. These books are having free access to all the students and faculty of the department.

To be a model for excellence in education in Mathematics.

MISSION:-

To provide every undergraduate with mathematical experiences and mathematical ideas that will serve as a foundation for careers and further higher studies in Mathematics.

GOALS:-

1. To provide a learning environment that actively involves students in a Mathematical educational process.
2. To provide all undergraduate students with education in Mathematics which will serve as a part of foundation for life-long learning of Science, Engineering and Mathematics.
3. To provide positive experience that stimulate an interest in and an appreciation for Mathematics.
4. To assist students to achieve goals.
5. To increase the participation, retention and success for students enrolled in Mathematics.
